1. Unexplained malfunction of your laptop that now has broken screen.
2. Unexplained malfunction of your Nokia N95.
3. Unexplained malfunction of ex ‘assistant manager’ in Carphone Warehouse when trying to cash in your insurance.
4. Unexplained malfunction of Vodaphone in replacing your new state of the art phone.
5. Unexplained non-delivery of your new cashpoint card.
Perhaps this is only a small crumb of comfort, but the occasional collapse of technology and systems does help to remind us of how complicated our lives have become and how activities we take for granted may indeed hang by the most fragile of threads. I am sure that you will rally from these setbacks and be spurred to to ever greater poetic endeavour as a result. Does that help?
Yes. Thanks it is some comfort. But it also means no new pics for the blag ;-(. Poetry does benefit from the headspace gained it’s true. Particularly since some kind of p&orn spam super weevil has latched on to the site.
I really enjoy reading Blaglady …I read it with the same level of enjoyment as I read Private Eye or BLAG the magazine.
